One of the better breweries in Madison. All of their beer is consistently good, but I've never had anything that I would consider amazing. That's not a negative in any way though since I've been happy with everything I've tried. Their restaurant also offers a great atmosphere with great food. The pricing is about what you would expect for a brewpub. A dinner for two with a few beers can be anywhere from $35 to $50.

This brewery is ok, I just feel they are a mid size operation running on a high end budget. Beers are decent, I like that they have a good variety of pale ales on draft, and the Amber/Red Ale is also very tasty. My real recommendation for this place though is to stop in if you have time to kill before a flight or are picking up your brother who neglected to tell you his flight was delayed by an hour in Chicago. There are better beers than here.

This is a fun place. Great atmosphere. The rooftop looks like it would be nice but it was too cold the day we were there. The beer is really really good. Great selection. Service was excellent. We didn't try the food so can't comment on that. The best buy was the flight of beers. Very large pours, well worth it.

Beautiful, clean and friendly facility. Many choices of great beer. They also have a nice food menu. Large parking lot with easy access.

As some other reviewers have already shared you can’t go wrong with this brewpub. If you like hoppy beers, this is the place for you. For me Dr. Venum is what an IPA should taste like. Then again you can’t go wrong with any of the beer selections at Ale Asylum. IMHO, the flight of 6-beers is the best deal you get 36-ounces for $15. The food offering is like any brewpub and I had the Brats on pretzel bread buns with tortilla chips and salsa, which did not disappoint. By the way the salsa is very tasty. The shrimp tacos and burger is also good options. The service is excellent and there wasn’t much of a crowd since we went for lunch. Another must when you’re in Madison.
