Gets hot in the afternoons. We made reservations and got seated on time, but service was very slow. Took more than 2 hours to complete a 3 course meal. Food was good, and not too expensive for that area. Great historic building and excellent location. Free parking with lots of overflow places nearby. We couldn't park in the lot.

Great views of SF beach no matter where you sit on second floor. Decent food and beer selection. The interior decor and architecture is a bit dated. I like sitting at the bar when it's interesting or cozy and fun bar service. None of that upstairs. Outside bar in the back is more like that.

The service was slow and inattentive. The linguine looked and tasted like instant noodles and the calamari was overcooked and chewy like rubber bands. My date hated her lobster roll. Her cocktails were good and the beer was fair. The hostess was really nice. It's a beautiful view... Too bad I won't be back

My son got the root beer float and Mac and cheese on the kids menu. The food came before his drink. The drink was anything but worth the wait. He said it left a gross, minty taste in his mouth. The Mac and cheese was mostly macaroni and little to no cheese. Definitely not coming back

Food was average. Beer was delicious. Wine expensive. Beautiful view of ocean from most tables. There aren't many restaurant choices in this part of San Francisco. So it's a fine choice if you're exploring Golden Gate Park. But I wouldn't make a special trip just for this restaurant.
