We stopped in for a beer and ended up drinking a few because it was so good. The food smelled so good we ended up ordering dinner. The food was excellent and the service was quick and friendly. The building is BEAUTIFUL, I love it when old buildings are preserved.

I love this place. It's casual, has awesome history and most importantly it has great beers. I recommend this to anyone that likes beer/breweries.

Absolutely horrible. Apparently, if there’s a wedding reception going on, the kitchen only serves the wedding party and they ignore the restaurant. We waited 45 minutes and had no food to speak of. We asked our waitress for some chips because we had been waiting for so long, and she promptly went and sat at the bar and ignored our request. The Rail Weisen was horrible, the wait staff was horrible, there is no manager running the place, everyone on staff just sits around and does nothing. We eventually had to walk out, not one person asked us how our visit was for thanked us for coming or said good night. We should have known when there was no place to park and it took a while for waitress to even come to our table for a drink order. With so many brewpubs in the area to pick from, there’s just no reason to suffer a place so poorly managed.

Visiting Erie- We arrived at our hotel and called Union station around 830pm on Saturday to inquire how late the kitchen was open to get dinner. Hostess, who was very nice on the phone, told us the kitchen was open until 11.We arrived at 915pm to find out we couldn't order entrees after 9pm. Waitress was very rude and service was horrible. Beers were mediocre. I will say the sandwiches and appetizers we did get were very good.
