Mission:
Is to raise awareness about the importance of re-localization and build a healthy community. We aim to serve as a small Humboldt County business directly supporting our local food-economy. By growing our own ingredients, distributing directly to community members, and having an educational focus pertaining to craft brewing and sustainable agricultural practices we hope to help build a more resilient community.
About:
Humboldt Regeneration is a Sustainable Farmhouse Brewery which means we are growing our own grains and hops. The barley and wheat are floor-malted on site and we offer a Community Supported Brewery program (CSB). The CSB program is a growler exchange that is similar to a weekly food box from a CSA farm. Our artisan crafted non-traditional Belgian style brews are created by our owner/brewmaster Jacob Pressey. Jacob earned a BS degree in Environmental Science from Humboldt State University focusing on Soils and Alternative Agriculture, and he has been farming beer since 2010. He was also an assistant brewer for the Eel River Brewing Company for eight years.
Throughout the year Jacob teaches a Beer Brewing 101 Workshop for Humboldt State University. If you are interested in taking a beer brewing course, registration is available twice per semester through HSU Center Activities.
