The mission of South Lake Brewing Company is to brew the highest-quality craft beer inspired by the beauty and adventure of Lake Tahoe.
The idea to open South Lake Brewing Company came naturally from our passion and love of Lake Tahoe. The beauty, adventure, and community of our mountain town is in our blood. Tahoe has captured our hearts and is the place we call home.
About 8 years ago, at college on the Central Coast, we were introduced to homebrewing during our many visits to our favorite craft beer bar. One of those nights, we dreamed up the idea to open a craft brewery. It only seemed natural to start our next adventure in our hometown of South Lake Tahoe.
For the last several years we have taken our idea, our dream, and made it into South Lake Brewing Company. Chris continues to homebrew and perfect his recipes. Nicole researches small business techniques and runs the financial side of the brewery. In Fall of 2015, we moved back to our hometown to start establishing the roots of SLBC and dive deeper into the craft beer community.
We cannot wait for the day that our dream becomes reality. We are excited to share our passion of hand crafted beer with the local South Lake community, visitors to Tahoe, and surrounding restaurants and bars.
