About Us:
Urban Growler® Brewing Company was founded in 2013 by Head Brewer Deb Loch and her partner Jill Pavlak. These two combined their complimentary skills and passions to create great beer for everyone - the scientific, creative, and business-minded brewer Deb, and the entrepreneur, sales, marketing and "make friends with anyone" Jill. This makes the Urban Growler™ beer, taproom and brand approachable to everyone.
Deb and Jill traded their successful, steady income careers in corporate America and sales to pursue their passion in brewing and business. Call it crazy (at least their parents did) but somehow, with a lot of help - from a lot of just-as-crazy people - they turned their dream into a small brewery.
So how did it all happen? Well we've all had those thoughts, "There's got to be something better..." and the old adage, "Someday I want to .....[fill in the blank]." In 2008 Deb and Jill decided, "Someday is NOW" and the Urban Growler®  seed was planted. In fact, it was more than just planted - is was nurtured, watered, and fertilized. The seed quickly started to grow from a dream, into an idea, and eventually a plan of action. Fast forward 6 years (and about 250 brewery names later - ask Jill about it someday) and Urban Growler® is here.
Our mission is to bring people together through beer. The brewery, taproom and brand will help establish community among all beer drinkers. Deb brews traditional beers but also gets creative with the Plow to Pint® series, where local ingredients and the farmers that produce them are featured. Chef Paul Suhreptz has joined the team, too.
